What is Fish Supper?

RNLI Fish Supper, supported by Lakeland is an annual charity fundraising event to support our lifesaving work. Day or night, our volunteer crews drop everything to save lives at sea – and they need your help. The idea is simple: you sign up to host a fish-themed supper party to raise funds for the RNLI. You can host a supper for as many people as you like and we’ve got plenty of free recipes to inspire you.

Invite your friends and family and make it the social event of your calendar this Autumn.

Why you should host a Fish Supper

Our crew members often have to skip suppers with their families when their pagers go off. They care passionately about saving lives and all they ask for is the right kit, training and support. The RNLI is a charity and we’re funded by the generosity of people like you. So when you host a Fish Supper, you’re helping to save lives.

About RNLI Fish Supper

How your fundraising helps

The money you raise supports all aspects of our lifesaving work and could help us buy kit like wellies to keep our crew members on sure footing or fuel for one of our lifeboats. Whether you raise a little or a lot by hosting a supper, your donations will fund our lifesaving work.

Why it matters

Last year's hosts share their fish supper stories

‘One of our crew members hosted a Fish Supper evening. We arranged an auction as part of it and raised £2,000 in one night!’

- Mary, Grimsby

‘We arranged our Fish Supper evening with a local seafood restaurant, which meant we didn't have to worry about cooking and we could invite lots of people. Everyone had a great evening’

- Matt, Cleethorpes

‘I held a prosecco and fish finger sandwich night in my house with my girlfriends. It was an easy way to raise funds for the RNLI’s Fish Supper and we raised a whopping £400! I’ve already been asked to host again, so I’ll be registering for Fish Supper 2016 very soon!’

- Julie, Porthcawl

‘We held our Fish Supper in the local fish restaurant and had a great night. So much so that we held another in May and have another booked for October! We had a raffle as well and made a great amount of money.’

- Angie, Driffield
