Porthdinllaen RNLI supporters’ story
Welsh TV presenter Morgan Jones is a passionate RNLI supporter. He cares so much about our lifesaving work that he and 19 other Porthdinllaen Lifeboat Station supporters have just completed a fourth cycling challenge to raise vital funds for the RNLI.
The Seiclon 2016 charity ride saw them cycle 240 miles in 3 days. Their community spirit and passion kept them going even when they were exhausted – and helped raise over £230.
RNLI fundraisers around the UK and Republic of Ireland climb mountains and cycle punishing routes to support our lifesavers. They take up incredible challenges to help save lives at sea. And if you sign up to host a fundraising Fish Supper, you’ll be a lifesaver too.

‘We climbed more than 5,000m in total, but the pain was worthwhile. I have the utmost respect for volunteer crews of the RNLI who risk their lives to save those in trouble on the seas.’
– RNLI supporter Mel Bishop
